Purpose 1: provide legal assistance and keep in touch with you

If we enter into a contract with you, the legal basis for processing your information will be the contract (ст.6 (1) (b) GDPR and ст. 8 (2) (b) FADP).
Personal data:
  • first name, surname;
  • contact phone number, email;
  • case description.
We may also request additional information if it is required for the purpose of this processing, but at the same time taking into account the principle of data minimisation.

Some of the data we collect for this purpose is classified as sensitive (in accordance with Article 9 GDPR and Article 3 FADP). To process this data, we use the exemptions of Article 9(a) GDPR and Article 4(5) FADP and collect "explicit" consent from you to process such data.

We collect this data directly from you (or from people who represent you) when you complete a form on our website or message us. Exceptionally, we may use publicly available information (e.g. from social media) if it is required for the purpose of processing.
Purpose 2: support our organization through donations
Legal basis: contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR and Article 8 (2) (b) FADP)
The RaiseNow system displays the following personal data:
  • first name, surname;
  • sum;
  • email.
However, we do not upload this data outside of the platform and do not share it with anyone unless necessary for compliance with Swiss law.
Purpose 3: to supervise compliance with laws and regulations (e.g., for tax purposes)

Privacy of Potential Volunteers
Purpose: to consider your application for the current vacancy
Legal basis: contract (Art 6 (1) (b) GDPR and Article 8 (2) (b) FADP)
Personal information:
  • CV, Motivation letter;
  • other information you provide to us.
If we continue to work with you after reviewing your application, we store the data for the required period in accordance with Swiss law. Otherwise, we will keep your data for no longer than 6 months.
Privacy of Children
We do not accept applications directly from individuals under 16 years old. However, due to the nature of our organization, we may receive personal data of children when their legal representatives apply.
Otherwise, we will not begin to process the data until we have established who the child's legal representative is.

To whom do we transfer your personal data?
We ensure that we will not share or disclose your personal data to anyone without your knowledge.

1. Partner organisations / individuals

After signing a contract with you, we may give your personal data to professionals who help us with the preparation of complaints, research into national legislation, translation of documents, and other matters relating to your request (e.g. lawyers, NGOs, translators).

We take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is protected. Any recipients to whom we may transfer your personal data will also take all necessary measures to protect your data, they will store it securely and will only use it to carry out their tasks on our behalf. We ensure that once the services have been provided, your data will be deleted by third parties.
